Georgia Police Shoot And Kill Armed Robbery Suspect After He Took Hostages

Suspect Struggles With Officers & Is Mortally Wounded

Police in Chamblee Georgia rushed to an AutoZone just before midnight after an employee who was tied up was able to escape and call for help.

 The armed suspect had entered the store moments before it closed, and ordered the manager to tie up the other employees and open the safe.  One of the employees was able to get loose and escape to summon help and police set up a perimeter to entrap the gunman.  Once the suspect left the store he was confronted by the police, there was some sort of struggle and an officer shot the suspect, who did not survive.

After the incident S.W.A.T. was ordered to enter the store to clear the scene and make sure there were no other suspects inside.
No other suspects were found inside and the employees were set free.
