Robbery Suspect With Toy Gun Shot Dead By Customer With Concealed Handgun License


GOOD GUY WITH A GUN STOPS ROBBERY IN CHICAGO

CHICAGO- It was about 7 pm on October 31 when a man walked into Agencia Mexicana. The corner store also handles currency exchanges and while an employee was attending to a customer  the suspect produced a firearm that turned out to be a toy.

After some type of confrontation occurred between the customer and the robbery suspect, the customer drew his concealed weapon and fired striking the suspect multiple times. There were other customers inside the store at the time of the shooting but no one else was injured. 


The deceased suspect has been identified as 55 year old Reginald Gildersleeve.  Gildersleeve was out on bond for a separate offence, when he attempted to rob the store and that attempt ended his life.

Police are treating the shooting as self defense and charges are not expected against the customer that ended a criminals life and saved tax payers from the financial burden of incarceration.
