Camarillo Teen Arrested For School Shooting Threat
Police Claim Parents Surrendered Weapons
VIDEO BELOW

On Friday the local police learned and took action on information that a student threatened to shoot up the school and then take his own life.  The 15 year old sophomore was located at his home and questioned by police.  It has been reported the teen admitted he made the threats and was taken into custody after speaking with his parents.

The child was evaluated by the Children Intensive Response Team and taken in for mental health treatment. Ventura County Sheriff reported that the parents of the teen voluntarily surrendered all the family's weapons they had in their home.  I am curious though if they were coerced in any way by the police to surrender them.
